north and southkorea facts

Today in class we talked about our test. We will be having our test on Wednsday.
Kim il Song was the rebell leader of North Korea. He invaded South Korea thinking it would be made into one big Korea. South Fights back and no one wins. They never really ended the war. It was a waste of money. Knew leader is kim jong il
Russia, Soviets= North Korea: Gov. Communist Rule= CALLED the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
U.S=South: Gov. Democracy= CALLED Republic of Korea.
DMZ= At the 38th Paralle
South Korea borders- North Korea
 North Korea borders- South Korea & Alittle Russia
The 38th Parallel its where north & south korea is split in half. After world war two In 1945 was when the 38th parallel was formed. In 1896 was when they were talking about spliting at the 38th parallel.
DMZ- Demilitarized Zone.
On the North of the DMZ the buildings are nice looking so people think its nice to live.
In the South they have a flag pole & a speaker to tell the north that the south is better
PASHAW
North has the tallest flag pole.
South Korea has a better economy because they they have a free market economy. They trade with others. They are thriving because of their high techs like electronics& companies like samsung(based in south korea) ect. Their economy is probably better then the U.S
North Korea economy is bad because they have no one to trade with.

questions on korea

1.      Democratic people’s republic of Korea
2.      KIM Jong ill became the dictator of north Korea and made his own rules
3.      Germany and japan lost World War 2 Korea became controlled by America and the Soviet Union.  They cut it and half and made north and south Korea. The Kim Jong ill was elected to run North Korea and ruled with an iron fist. South Korea became free and a democracy.

22. North Korea dropped missals on South Korea but South Korea says that if North Korea bombs them again they will retaliate.

23. Lisa and Laura Ling were kidnapped by North Korea for illegal entry in North Korea. She was forced 12 months of hard labor.

thats weird

today in class we went over some of the questions about korea. mr schick told us that in his other class when he went to click on a city in north korea and his computer crash. after that we started to watch the video on north korea.

class today

today in class we continued to answer questions about our korea. we got side tracked a little talking about the war and when Mr. Schick was a kid but it was really interesting.

today in class we split the room in half making one side north korea and the other south korea. then we hve to answer questions about our side and discuss on how differentthey both are.
